Is Racing a Sport?
If I've heard it once,
I've heard it 1,000 times; "It's just driving a car...that's not a sport."
Usually followed by "I can drive a car." Flawed logic, I always thought,
since I can throw a baseball but the Dodgers still haven't
called!
I used to get
really annoyed when I heard that dribble
and had a bunch of arguments to prove the point that racing is very much a
sport.
I found out two
things:

Anyone foolish
enough to not understand that racing is a sport is unlikely to be swayed
anyway, but...
